The new orchestra was founded with the stated goal of dealing systematically with the artistic and spiritual treasure that constitutes modern Greek artistic musical creation. It was founded with the aim of performing, recording and generally promoting perhaps the most wronged of the arts.

The orchestra’s repertoire includes symphonic works, vocal works (soloist or choral) with orchestral accompaniment as well as chamber music works performed by smaller ensembles composed by its members. concerts are also held in other halls in Athens, as well as in cities of region, as long as they have sufficient infrastructure for symphony concerts, but also abroad. Also, the main goal, apart from concerts and tours, is to make recordings and post them on the internet through existing and future partnerships with international audio signal management agencies.
